Swad Komanduri

Swad Komanduri (he/his) is a Ph.D. student at the Pardee RAND Graduate School and an assistant policy researcher at RAND. He has a B.S. in engineering and applied sciences from the California Institute of Technology. His research interests focus on harnessing innovative technical methods across a broad range of potential applications, including health care, education, network science, and national security.

Prior to joining Pardee RAND, he worked in health policy at Acumen LLC, focused on statistical methods to develop metrics that measure quality of care received by Medicare beneficiaries. He previously worked in manufacturing policy in Detroit, conducting qualitative research to develop recommendations for strengthening the domestic ecosystem in emerging technologies.
